SoundTouch Radio

SoundTouch Radio lets you browse and play internet radio stations directly on your Bose SoundTouch speaker — straight from your Android phone, with no Bose account, no cloud service, and no subscription required.

The app talks directly to your speaker over your home Wi-Fi using the SoundTouch HTTP API and UPnP. No data passes through any external server. Your listening activity stays on your local network.

AUTO-DISCOVERY
SoundTouch Radio automatically finds SoundTouch speakers on your Wi-Fi network using mDNS/NSD. It remembers the last speaker you used and reconnects to it instantly on the next launch — no need to scan every time. If you have multiple speakers, a simple picker lets you choose which one to use.

RADIO BROWSER SEARCH
Search millions of internet radio stations powered by the open Radio Browser directory. Results are sorted by popularity and show station metadata including country, genre tags, language, bitrate, and codec. Duplicate entries are merged automatically so you always see the best stream for each station.

FAVORITES
Save your go-to stations with a single tap. Favorites appear at the top of the home screen for instant access. Reorder them anytime with a long-press drag. Remove a station just as easily.

NOW PLAYING
The bottom bar shows what is currently playing — station name, live track and artist info when available, genre tags, and a link to the station's website. The station logo is displayed alongside playback controls.

VOLUME CONTROL
Adjust the speaker volume directly from the app using the on-screen slider or the ± buttons. Your phone's hardware volume buttons also control the speaker while the app is open.

PLAY / PAUSE
Stop and resume playback from the now-playing bar without leaving the app.

LOCAL STATIONS
The home screen shows a curated row of popular stations from your country, loaded automatically based on your device locale — a great way to discover local radio without searching.

SPEAKER INFO
Tap the speaker name in the bottom bar to see the connected device's name, type, IP address, MAC address, and firmware version. A one-tap rescan button lets you switch to a different speaker at any time.

PRIVACY
SoundTouch Radio collects no personal data. Favorites and the last-used speaker name are stored locally on your device only and are never uploaded anywhere. No analytics, no ads, no tracking.

REQUIREMENTS
• A Bose SoundTouch speaker connected to your Wi-Fi network
• Android 8.0 (Oreo) or later
• Your phone and speaker on the same Wi-Fi network
