What is OldMapsOnline?

OldMapsOnline is a Chrome extension designed to simplify map discovery and georeferencing. As you browse the web, the extension automatically detects scanned, zoomable maps in a variety of formats. These maps can be instantly georeferenced, providing you with map overlays, a 3D globe view, and other vast benefits. Once processed, these new maps are compared and added to the existing database of over 0.5 million maps in the OldMapsOnline mapping platform.
