The pinned extension icon doesn't show the count of characters, the main reason I downloaded. Instead, you must copy and paste, which takes a lot of time away when you're doing a ton of character counting..
EDIT: I'm an idiot. Apparently you can't test these character counters in the Chrome Web Store... This works seamlessly. Thank you
