BC-Plume — Bandcamp Player Enhancer

Plume is a free, open-source Firefox add-on that replaces the default Bandcamp player with a modern, enhanced alternative.

Core improvements: • Volume slider with persistent preference and mute button. • Click-to-seek progress bar — drag or click to jump anywhere in the track. • Rewind or fast-forward by a custom duration (default 10 s). • Playback speed control: choose from preset speeds (0.5× to 3×) or enter a custom value. • Looping modes, enabling smooth track/collection replay. • Tracklist dropdown to browse a collection and jump to any track; "go to track" link button opens the current track's Bandcamp page. • Track skip and restart on album pages. • Total album runtime display, current track runtime with elapsed/remaining toggle.

Quality of life: • Waveform progress bar — renders the audio waveform on the progress bar for at-a-glance song structure (toggleable). • Fullscreen listening mode with album art display. • Customizable hotkeys: Space (play/pause), arrows (seek/volume), 0–9 (seek), L (loop), M (mute), F (fullscreen), PageUp/PageDown (previous/next track). Supports modifier keys (Ctrl, Alt, Shift). • Fine-tune seek hotkey step, volume hotkey step, and track restart threshold from the popup panel. • BPM detection: live tempo analysis displayed on the player and as per-track badges in the tracklist. • Beat visualizer: a BPM-driven canvas animation in the fullscreen view, synced to the music's tempo (toggleable). • Available in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Romanian, and Russian, with an option to force display language from the popup. • Feature flags: toggle individual features on or off from the popup panel. • Accessible interface, pairs seamlessly with NVDA.

How to use: Visit any Bandcamp album or track page after installing. Plume automatically activates and replaces the original player. Volume and display preferences are remembered between sessions. No more worries about scrolling down too, the player sticks to the top of the window.

Compatible with Firefox 109+ (Manifest V3). Open-source, zero dependencies, MIT license.
