2024-08-28 | twinkle mathur | en | I recently used the Lake Brains Google extension to transcript an important meeting. After completing the transcription, I attempted to email the transcript to myself, and the window closed unexpectedly, and I have not received the email yet. The transcript is crucial for me. Could you please assist me in retrieving the transcript file? I have checked all my email folders. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
2024-06-09 | Jen Derwingson-Peacock | en | First time using, the extension crashed before it was finished transcribing and I lost about a 20 min transcript. :-(
2024-05-26 | Laurent J.V. Dubois | en | Efficient service, thank you! The advantage is to work on all online services, and not just with three or four video meeting platforms. I hope you will quickly support other languages.

2024-03-28 | Syaza BA | en | this is great, what a lifesaver. hope i can customize the bubble text transcript by adding name or timestamp, other languages would be neat too.

2023-10-26 | Prenom Nom | Looks promising so far... Do you know what else could be incredible? That it could transcribe languages other than English and give an option to whether we'd like it to translate the transcript in another language or not. Looking forward to the potential updates but I appreciate the fact that such an extension exists... Keep up the good work!

2023-09-13 | Chematronix Quarantamila | A neat idea, it can transcribe the audio from any tab *and* your microphone. The transcription quality is not as good as Chrome's Live Caption, but unlike it, Live Transcribe allows copying the text. Unfortunately, every sentence is split in many chat balloons, all prefixed with "Speaker", so you have to delete them all afterwards. You can use regex to do it quickly, or even easier, in Notepad++, select from the end of one sentence to the start of the next (that is, one occurence of "Speaker", with it's surrounding empty lines, *and* the end and the start of the adjacent transcribed ones), and in the Search menu > Replace, type a space in Replace with, and then Replace All. Response time is high ---around 5s, while Google's offerings are near instantaneous, since they transcribe locally instead of sending your audio to their servers. The extension itself weights almost 500 MiB, which will be downloaded in every PC you sync your Chrome profile with. Very useful, but for a single time thing, it's easier to use Google's own Live Transcription in your phone, which comes installed by default in most Android models, and you can find in the Accessibility settings. Just place it close to your PC's speakers (it also works on its own, but with less quality, so you might want to plug external ones to it).
