How to use:

> Activate extension by clicking icon in top right corner (it will lights green)

> Open backnote windows on CTRL+SHIFT+V hotkeys*

> Highlight a text with a mouse and release button to paste it to a backnote window**

> Click 'Save' when you done to download note with optional name, or 'backnote.txt' by default

You can change a hotkeys in add-on preferences menu

** Once you highlighted text and released left mouse button - text is pasted into Backnote window. Open it for a edits or to save note

Initially for me the Backnote window would not show up no matter how many times I typed the default keyboard shortcut for it. After I changed the keyboard shortcut it started working for me. Handy tool if you need to copy some sections of text from a webpage and don't want to waste time alt-tabbing between two windows to copy paste the text.

It's a pleasant surprise to have a try. You can easily take a brief note of the content of a web page by selecting the content you need several times with the mouse box.

Version 1.0 works. 1.60 seems to not work with Waterfox 56.2.5 (I e-mailed the developer): a) a click on the toolbar icon is non-effective b) keyboard shortcut customisation is non-effective – those two issues, plus conflict with a shortcut for a different extension, make 1.60 unusable for me. Back to 1.0 for me …
