Auto Minimize Firefox

Auto Minimize

Set a limit for how many unminimized windows are allowed and minimize the rest

Features & Capabilities

Whatever your reasons for this – maintain a comfortable auto-window-tiling arrangement, keep your Mac's App Exposé view manageable, et cetera – it's here for you.

Prioritizes minimizing the least-recently-focused minimizable windows. Auto Minimize keeps track of focus-change times and remembers them between browser restarts. For convenience, if you are a Winger user, upon installation Auto Minimize will make a one-time request from Winger for existing focus-change time data so that Auto Minimize can hit the ground running.

Permissions

Access recently closed tabs — Refers to sessions access, to save and remember window focus-change times across browser sessions. Despite the official description of this permission, Auto Minimize does not need to – and does not – access or affect tabs in any way.

Is Auto Minimize Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Auto Minimize does not require any sensitive permissions.
