It automatically softens sudden loud sounds and boosts quiet audio, ensuring a smooth and comfortable listening experience.

Features:

  • Toggle normalization on or off and save distinct audio profiles for each website.
  • Adjust compression intensity and fine-tune gain levels from -100% (mute/attenuate) up to +100% (boost).
  • Firefox for Android Compatible.
  • Privacy-First & Lightweight: 100% local Web Audio API processing with zero tracking, no telemetry, and zero data collection.

⚠ Compatibility & Limitations ⚠: Due to strict browser security policies (CORS and DRM), AudioNormalizer cannot process encrypted or protected audio streams (such as Spotify, Duolingo, Netflix or similar platforms). On these websites, please disable the extension using the popup toggle to prevent playback issues.

User Reviews

Works very well on youtube or similar, but breaks some pages with CORS audio. For example duolingo loads its audio from a CDN and thus says its media is cross-origin. This addon seems to strip that away, resulting in no audio at all. Since I found no github, I will post this bug report here

I also found this works great. Easy to setup and control. It has been an annoyance of mine for years having to continuously adjust the volume up and down to hear speech and quiet action/scary parts of the movie. I live in an apartment building and have neighbours. Thank you Viloja :-)
