User Reviews

User reviews show mixed experiences: when the Audio Equalizer works, it can noticeably improve audio quality (clarity, bass control) and is praised for being user-friendly and among the better Firefox EQ options. However, a large share of reviews report instability, including site breakage, video playback/format errors, and inconsistent performance across sites (YouTube/Discord) and browsers. Some users also note memory/stability issues. Overall, the addon can be effective but is frequently unreliable, with significant compatibility and stability problems across many popular sites.
Pros
  • Improves audio quality when it functions (e.g., clearer speech, better balance)
  • Helps with poor-speaker setups by reducing certain frequencies
  • Simple, usable control panel/interface
  • Regarded by some users as one of the best Firefox EQ add-ons
  • Often praised as reliable when it works/displays solid performance in favorable cases
Cons
  • Breaks websites and video playback across multiple sites
  • Does not work on YouTube and other sites (Discord mentioned) or often has no audible effect
  • No video with supported format and MIME type found errors occur on multiple videos
  • Inconsistent performance across sites/browsers; works sometimes, but often breaks or is unstable
  • Memory usage and stability issues after extended use (potential performance impact)

ещё лучше было бы, если на каждую вкладку можно делать свои настройки звука. или же например на одной вкладке он работает (активирован) , но на другой вкладке он был бы отключен, до тех пор пока я сам не включу )
