GCA Play

GCA Play is a native Android companion for Geocaching Australia. Built for the GCA community, it brings every GCA listed cache to your phone — to find, navigate to, and log right where you are.

Discover caches on a live map Browse GCA's full catalogue on an interactive MapLibre map with Road, Satellite, and Topo styles. Tap any pin to see full details — type, difficulty, terrain, size, hidden date, recent logs, and the cache description and hint when you're ready to read it.

Navigate with a real compass Live bearing, real-time distance, GPS-accuracy indicator, and a satisfying haptic when you close in on the cache. When you'd rather drive part of the way, tap "Open in Maps" for turn-by-turn directions to the trailhead.

Log finds the moment they happen Submit Found It, Didn't Find It, and Note logs straight from the app. Attach photos, leave a rating, enter coordinates for moveables — your log appears on the cache page immediately.

Solve and unlock Q&A style caches, pull-to-refresh on log lists, and saved Waypoints for multi-stage caches.

Find exactly what you're looking for Filter by cache type, container size, difficulty, terrain, and found/owned status.

Run saved My Queries or Public Queries from your GCA account. Search by name, by GA code, or by what's nearby.
