Shift Weaver is a smart, local-first shift scheduling tool that takes the pain out of building weekly rosters. ADD STAFF AND SET THE RULES
Add your team and give each person a daily shift cap. Mark someone unavailable for a specific window (e.g. 09:00 until 11:00 for an appointment) and the engine respects it automatically — including a built-in buffer so nobody is booked in two back-to-back slots.

DEFINE DEMAND BY TIME SLOT
Tell Shift Weaver how many people you need at each hour and mark slots as "complex" when they require extra care. The app keeps track of how many complex cases each person is carrying and, by default, spreads them out evenly so no one is overloaded.

Press Generate Schedule and Shift Weaver's deterministic engine instantly fills the grid, balancing the load across your available staff and protecting against late-day admin pile-ups. If a configuration is mathematically impossible — say, not enough people free at 13:00 — you'll get a clear warning that points straight to the bottleneck.

FULL CONTROL, NO SURPRISES
Every assignment is editable. Pin a specific person into a slot if you need them to start at 09:00, override an auto-suggestion, or grey out unavailable cells manually. Any change that breaks a hard rule is highlighted in red so you always know when something needs attention.

Reorder your team alphabetically, by recently added, by most assigned, or drag them into your own manual order. Shift counts update live so you can see at a glance who's carrying the load.

SAVE, SHARE, AND EXPORT
Turn a roster into a reusable template for next week. Download the schedule as a PNG image to pin on the wall, share it via a link that encodes the whole roster in the URL, or back up and restore your entire workspace as a JSON file — no data leaves your device unless you choose to export it.

WORKS OFFLINE
Everything runs in the browser and is stored locally on your device. Once the app is loaded it works without an internet connection, and there is no account to sign up for and no personal data collected from your staff.
