There is no legitimate reason why this app needs permission to photos and videos to allow it to work

The App, when originally downloaded crashed and the support email didn't work. I raised this with lifestyle fitness equipment who pair the App with their treadmills etc. LFE followed up with the App designers and this App now works (current version Android platform) with my Samsung S22+. The support email address has also supposedly been updated, but I haven't checked that. Run it with the treadmill, full functionality appears to be working.
