Irodoridori: Color Picker

App Overview

"Irodoridori" is a color analysis app that extracts representative colors (up to 10 clusters) from camera images or imported photos, and identifies the closest color names, Munsell values, and model paint colors.

The extracted RGB values are converted into Lab color space and compared with built-in color databases, including color names, Munsell Soil Color Charts, and model paint color sets (Mr. Color, Gaia Color). Up to 50 closest matches are displayed for selection.

Selected colors can be saved with GPS location, timestamp, and user comments, making it easy to record what color you found, when, and where.

Unlike simple pixel sampling, this app analyzes a selected area and averages color values, providing more stable and representative results even for uneven or mixed colors. This makes it suitable for soil color comparison, model painting, design work, and research.

Recorded data can be exported as CSV files for list management, while individual color data and images can be exported as JPG files. Color values can be displayed in multiple formats, including RGB, Lab, CMYK, HSV, and Hex.

The app also supports color difference calculations using CIEDE2000 (ΔE00) and ΔEab.

Manual Color Correction

To improve practical accuracy, the app includes a manual color correction feature.

Smartphone cameras can produce different color results depending on the device, lighting conditions, and internal processing. Because of this, relying only on captured RGB values may not reflect the actual color accurately.

In this app, instead of using camera values as-is, you can adjust color temperature, tint, and brightness while visually comparing the screen with the real object.
