This is a very good app for taking my notes when reading a great book. However, one big problem that I have with it is that it does not autosave my notes. I've severally had to lose notes that I have typed out due to this. Please include an auto-save feature. Also, it would be great if I can open my notes to where I stopped reading instead of having to scroll through all the time. Thank you.

User Reviews
Dante - Book Tracker is praised for its simplicity, easy tracking of reading progress, barcode scanning, and dark mode. Users appreciate the clean UI and responsive developer. However, repeatedly mentioned issues include unreliable backup/export causing data loss, poor search and barcode scanning accuracy especially for comics and non-English books, lack of auto-save in notes, and limited organization options. Users also notice flaws in alphabetical sorting methodology, making the app good but still needing important improvements.
Pros
- Simple and easy to use for tracking books and reading progress.
- Ability to scan book barcodes to add books without manual entry.
- Provides useful reading statistics such as pages read and percentage completed.
- Ad-free and clean user interface with dark mode support.
- Developer is responsive to user feedback and fixes bugs promptly.
Cons
- Lack of reliable backup/export functionality leading to data loss risk.
- Barcode scanner and book search often fail to find correct books, especially non-English or comics.
- Notes feature lacks auto-save, causing loss of typed notes.
- No easy way to organize or categorize books by genre or shelving system.
- Sorting by title does not ignore common articles like 'The', making navigation tedious.
Recent reviews
No backup or export possible. Worst case scenario, not too unrealistic: carefully curating book collection and losing all the data, with the switch to a new phone for example. Therefore don't see a point in using this app atm unfortunately, because design is very nice, but there are other apps with backup functionality.
