SkinAware

Our skin is constantly changing. SkinAware helps you become more aware of these changes and document them over time.
With SkinAware, you can photograph specific areas of your skin, check them regularly, and track possible changes over time. The app supports you in building a simple routine for regular skin checks and helps you keep a closer eye on your skin.

You can easily record specific areas of your skin and observe them over a longer period. Simply take a photo of the skin area, select the corresponding body region—such as forearm, back, or chest—and document whether you notice any changes or symptoms. All entries are stored clearly and can later be compared with one another. Over time, this creates your personal skin record.
Regular checks help you notice changes early. With SkinAware, you can set reminders to recheck certain skin areas after a specific period. The app automatically reminds you to perform a new check and update your observations.

During each check, you can record what you currently notice.

This may include areas on the skin with, for example:

- asymmetrical shape
- multiple colors
- growth or change in size
- raised or bumpy areas
- pain or itching
- inflammation or open wounds
- or simply no visible changes


All information is stored in a clear and organized way, making it easier to recognize developments over time.
In addition to documentation, SkinAware also supports you in protecting your skin in everyday life. The app provides current environmental information for your region, including the UV index, temperature, and sun protection recommendations. These include the recommended SPF strength, guidance on how often sunscreen should be reapplied, and an approximate estimate of how quickly sunburn may occur under the current UV exposure.

All recorded skin checks are stored in your personal archive. There, you can review previous entries, compare photos, adjust body regions, or edit observations  and information afterward. This helps you keep your documentation organized and easy to review at any time.
