GlucoTab Launcher

With the GlucoTab Launcher app, the user interface of the medical device software GlucoTab can be displayed and used on mobile devices directly at the point of care.
This app is designed for tablets only. It is not compatible with smartphones.
This app can only be used by healthcare professionals in a healthcare organisation which operates or has access to a GlucoTab server.
This app requires GlucoTab Server version 9.1 or higher.

GlucoTab is a software system for healthcare professionals to support blood glucose management in both hospital and nursing home as well as in mobile care.
In particular, for patients with type 2 diabetes, therapy algorithms suggest appropriate insulin doses and automatically adjust the anticipated insulin requirements over time based on the measured blood glucose levels.

GlucoTab is NOT available for private users!

GlucoTab is only available to professional users (nurses, doctors) who are granted access to the system by healthcare organisations (hospitals or nursing facilities) as part of their work.
The healthcare organisation must therefore purchase a GlucoTab licence for use.

The system offers
- Therapy algorithm for subcutaneous basal-bolus therapy for patients with type 2 diabetes:
a. Automatic adjustment (titration) of the daily insulin dose
b. Dose calculation for each insulin dose, taking into account the current blood sugar level and whether the patient has eaten or is fasting.
- Therapy algorithm for subcutaneous basal insulin therapy for patients with type 2 diabetes:
a. Automatic adjustment (titration) of the basal insulin dose
b. Different therapy intensities depending on health status
c. Adjustment of blood glucose measurement frequency to blood glucose variability
d. Option to add a short-acting insulin to a defined meal per day (basal plus therapy)
- Automatic support of the workflows of doctors and nurses with reminders of open tasks
- Facilitation of the prescription of blood sugar-lowering medications as well as documentation of medication administration and other diabetes-relevant parameters
- Visualisation of blood glucose, nutrition and medication
- Bolus calculator for patients with type 1 diabetes
- Discharge management and therapy planning
