What is the Wound App?
The Wound App was developed by doctors and affected patients for people with chronic wounds.

The Wound App provides information about the causes of a disease. You can also use the diary function to report the condition of your wounds, as well as your general condition, to your treating physician and wound care specialist. This lets you create a sound basis for optimally coordinated wound care, ensuring a high quality of life despite chronic wounds.


What are the benefits of the Wound App?
Chronic wounds are a burden, but this does not have to be the case: With the right treatment, therapy and care, the quality of life can be significantly improved. The Wound App supports you in this.

How do you use the Wound App?
You can use the Wound App simply to find out about chronic wounds. You can also use the diary function as described above.

First of all, some basic information needs to be entered, e.g. the affected body part.

You will then regularly be guided through a set of short questions by the Wound App Wizard. Answers are entered using the slider, by selecting from predefined answer options or by inputting free text.

The information entered includes information on wound exudate, odor, pain, sleeping behaviour, status of dressing changes and your personal feelings. You can also use the comment function.

In addition, you can document the respective situation with an objective photo. Photos are stored directly in the app so that they are always at hand.
