The u:cloud Chrome extension provides University of Vienna employees and students with secure, free cloud storage featuring 50GB of space. Unlike commercial services, u:cloud stores all data on university servers, safeguarding privacy and ensuring data control remains within the institution.

With seamless synchronization across laptops, mobile phones, and tablets, users can easily upload, download, and automatically sync files. As an open-source platform, u:cloud promotes transparency and security. Access is available via the app or through the web interface at https://ucloud.univie.ac.at/. Continuous improvements are supported by user feedback, making u:cloud a reliable and tailored cloud service for the university community.
