HVAC POSITIONER is the first and only app that virtually places your HVAC system (heat pump, chiller, etc.) in a real-world environment (AR). The built-in real-time sound propagation calculation allows you to position the HVAC system perfectly in accordance with current regulations and personal preferences.

AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH has developed a method to minimize noise emissions affecting residents in urban areas. These methods enable a simple, intuitive, and at the same time precise approach to noise emissions. Use the app before installing your HVAC system and place it virtually on-site in a real environment using augmented reality.

All of the developments listed are being carried out at AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH. Some of the underlying methods originate from the RAARA research project (Residential Area Augmented Reality Acoustics, project number 873588), which is funded as part of the 6th call for proposals “City of the Future.” “City of the Future” is a research and technology program of the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, Mobility, Innovation, and Technology (BMK). It is administered on behalf of the BMVIT by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency in collaboration with Austria Wirtschaftsservice Gesellschaft mbH and the Austrian Society for Environment and Technology (ÖGUT).
