As the commander of a new Martian outpost, your mission is to build a thriving colony on a compact 6x6 grid. Plan your layout carefully to maximize your Colony Rating before your limited starting reserves of 15 Power and 15 Alloys run out. Every decision matters, and spatial organization is the key to survival.

RESOURCE-BASED GRID BUILDING
Every structure you place requires a balance of resources and offers base points. Success depends on planning your layout to trigger adjacency bonuses and build efficient logistics networks:

• Habitats (Cost: 2 Power / 2 Alloys): Residential pods that can be placed anywhere. Position them near Pipelines to receive crucial bonus points.
• Extractors (Cost: 3 Power / 0 Alloys): The industrial core of your colony. These can be placed anywhere and serve as the essential starting anchors for your network.
• Pipelines (Cost: 1 Power / 1 Alloy): The logistics network of your outpost. Pipelines must be built directly adjacent (North, South, East, or West) to an existing Extractor or another Pipeline.

UNLOCK ADVANCED PERSONNEL SYNERGIES
As your colony layout grows more sophisticated, specific patterns will attract highly specialized personnel, granting significant boosts to your overall Colony Rating:

• Repair Bot (+50 points): Automatically boots up from the assembly line when you link two Pipelines horizontally side-by-side.
• Field Engineer (+150 points): Approves deployment to highly developed industrial hubs. Trigger this bonus by surrounding a single Extractor with at least three Habitats.
• Base AI Overseer (+300 points): The ultimate operational intelligence. This system awakens automatically on an empty Pipeline once your grid successfully manages a fleet of three or more Repair Bots.
