All four activity types, with auto-pause, steps on foot outings, and a full-screen map while you go. A recording survives the app closing, down to the last moment. Live distance and time sit in the notification so you can put the phone away.

Elevation you can trust
Climbing is measured with the phone's barometer and reported above sea level, so the summit on your chart is the summit on the map. Gradients come from the ground you covered rather than from a wandering satellite fix.

A trainer that talks you through it
Pick a routine and how long you have, and TrailFree runs the session: the lift, the weight, the reps, a timed rest, then the next one. Spoken in the companion voice you choose, or silent with the screen leading. It writes the workout up for you, so a session takes no typing. Build sessions of your own, add exercises the catalogue does not have, and choose how long the rests run.

Maps made for trails
Six styles, including Satellite and trails: real imagery with shaded hills, and the paths, tracks and place names drawn over it. Import GPX trails and see them under your track, follow one while you record, and download an area for where there is no signal.

Share a route with your group
Send a picture of the map and your numbers to a chat, or the trail itself as a file others can follow. Nothing is shared until you tap share. A shared trail leaves off the first and last stretch near your door and carries positions only, with no times.

See your shape
Trends by week or month, personal records, and a heat map of every track you have ever recorded. Weekly goals in six dimensions, and challenges that are you against you.
