SoundPlay is a music quiz played by several people around a single phone, the one that's passed around. No app to install on anyone else's phone, no account to create to play: you start a game and you're off!

HOW TO PLAY

A clip starts, album art hidden. The table calls out titles and artist names. Then the hard part begins: you have to place the song on the year timeline, in the right spot, between the ones you've already identified. If it's placed correctly, it joins your timeline and you score. If it's placed incorrectly, you lose the whole round.

It's this timeline that makes the difference between this and an ordinary music quiz. Many people can recognize a song. Knowing whether it's from 1984 or 1987 is another story.

THREE WAYS TO PLAY

MULTIPLE PLAYERS. From 2 to 10 players, in teams or free-for-all, for a duration of your choosing. The phone is passed around, and the app tells you who to pass it to.

SOLO. Against the clock, with 10, 25, or 50 songs. The faster you answer, the more you score. And your best score can be added to the community leaderboard.

SONG SPEED DATING. A discovery mode: snippets play one after another, you swipe to skip, or you keep the ones you like. A way to stumble upon songs you weren't looking for.

YOU CHOOSE THE MUSIC

International hits, French songs, French rap, summer hits, 80s hits, current chart-toppers. Select what you want, add them up, and the game adapts to who's around the table. Something to play with teenagers and grandparents alike, ensuring no one gets bored.

Over 1200 playable tracks, each verified individually, with their exact year of release. The catalog grows weekly with new releases.

KEEP WHAT YOU LOVE

Find a song you like during a game? Tap the heart icon and it's added to your favorites. At the end, you get the game's playlist to listen to again or share. A free account, created with just an email address and no password, lets you access your favorites on all your devices and post your scores to the leaderboard.
