View Sentinelle is the safety app designed for hiking, mountain biking, trail running, and also your water activities (kayaking, coastal boating, rafting, sailing, paddle boating)—on land and on the water. The principle is simple: you declare your outing and the time you expect to return. If you don't end your outing on time, your loved ones are automatically notified by email, with your last known location and instructions on how to get help.

SAFETY THAT RESPECTS YOUR PRIVACY
No constant tracking. View Sentinelle records a location approximately every 5 minutes (a "point-based" model, with an adjustable frequency of 2 to 30 minutes depending on the activity), just enough to find you, and nothing more. Your data is not sold.

• Choose the loved ones who will be alerted if you don't return.

• Send an immediate SOS with a single tap.

• Extend your return time if you're delayed, even if you're initially out of network coverage.

• Track your route point by point on the map, with estimated distance and speed.

• Access your outing history and statistics.

FOR YOUR LOVED ONES, WITHOUT INSTALLING ANYTHING
Your loved ones receive a web tracking link: your location, the estimated return time, and what to do if they're worried. No account creation is required on their end.

DISCOVER NEW HIKES
Search for trails near you or in a specific area (OpenStreetMap data, worldwide): map view, distance, estimated elevation gain, difficulty, photos of the area, and 7-day weather forecast. With a tap, start a tracked outing directly from a found hike.

INTEGRATED WEATHER
The current weather is displayed on the homepage, and the 7-day forecast is available on each hike's page, so you can set off at the right time.

View Sentinelle is not a substitute for common sense or emergency services: always inform someone of your route and check the current conditions.
