A QR code is just text your phone can't read at a glance. That's why fake parking signs, fake delivery notices and fake login pages work so well — by the time you can see the address, you've already opened it.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU SCAN
Point at any QR code or barcode — no mode switching, it works out which is which. Before the link opens, it goes through layered checks: the sites we already trust, Google's malicious-site protection (Web Risk), and pattern rules that catch brand lookalikes like "paypa1", risky domain endings, and links that bounce through several sites.

You get one of three answers, in plain English: fine to open, worth a second look, or blocked. Blocked links need a deliberate press-and-hold to override — no accidental taps.

WHY IT WAS FLAGGED, NOT JUST THAT IT WAS
Most scanners say "unsafe" and stop there. Qruvo shows you the fake address next to the real one and explains what gave it away — so you learn the trick, not just avoid it once.

Your scan history never leaves your phone. To check a link we send only the web address to our safety checks (Google Web Risk and URLhaus) — no account, no location — and we don't keep a record of it.

Free with ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob and use your device's advertising ID; one payment removes them forever — and ads never appear on a safety result.
