Screenbutler TV

Screenbutler turns any Android TV, Google TV or Fire TV into a digital-signage screen. Install the app, enter the 6-digit code it shows in the Screenbutler console, and the TV starts playing your playlist. Everything else — slides, playlists, schedules, messages — is managed in the browser at console.screenbutler.app.

WHAT THE TV APP DOES
• Full-screen player with no browser chrome, no sleep, no screen saver
• Starts by itself after a power cut (optional autostart)
• Keeps playing the last playlist when the network drops and reconnects on its own
• Remote-control keys: previous/next slide, pause, info, refresh, back in sync
• Sends its status to the console: online/offline, current slide, screenshot on request
• Warns before burn-in when the picture has not changed for a long time
• Works with the hosted service or an on-premises Screenbutler installation

WHAT YOU CAN SHOW
Announcements, images, videos, PDFs and PowerPoint decks, photo galleries, clocks and world clocks, countdowns, weather with forecast, air quality and pollen, public-transport departures, news and RSS, calendars and meeting-room signs, menu boards, Google reviews, Slack channels, social feeds (Bluesky, Mastodon, YouTube, Instagram, X), Google Analytics and Search Console dashboards, live streams, websites, QR codes, birthdays, work anniversaries and new-colleague welcomes from a people directory, tables from Google Sheets or CSV, and multi-zone layouts that combine them. Company colours and a logo overlay keep every screen on brand.

FOR TEAMS
Several people per company with roles and permissions, change history, ready-made starter playlists for offices, cafés, gyms, schools and shops, schedules per slide, screen messages and takeovers (including automatic alerts from RSS/CAP feeds), and a JSON API for automation.

PRICING
The TV app is free. A Screenbutler account is needed to manage content; see screenbutler.app for plans, including on-premises installations for enterprises.

PRIVACY
The app has no ads and no account of its own. It loads one web address and sends operating data (pairing code, screen id, app version, current slide, status) to the server you choose. Details: screenbutler.app/privacy.html
