Screen ON

Your screen dims and locks right when you need it most. Following a recipe, reading a long article, glancing at a map, watching a live score. Screen ON is one switch that keeps the screen awake until you say otherwise.

ONE SWITCH, EVERY APP

Turn it on and your screen stays on, whatever you are using. It is not limited to this app. Flip back to your book, your dashboard or your game and the screen keeps waiting with you.

The power button still works the way it always has. Press it and the screen goes dark, because turning it off by hand should always win.

YOU DECIDE WHEN IT ENDS

Have it give up after a set time, from fifteen minutes to eight hours, so a phone left on the desk does not glow until morning. Or leave no limit at all. A quiet notification shows while the screen is being held, with a turn off button right in it, so stopping is one tap from anywhere.

If you restart your phone, the app can pick up where it left off. That is your choice too.

NUMBERS YOU CAN CHECK

Keeping a screen on costs battery. This app tells you exactly how much, measured on your phone rather than estimated. The Stats tab records every session: how long the screen was held and how much battery it used, plus your average drain per hour. Time spent on a charger is left out, because a number that flatters is not worth reading.

While a session is running, Stats shows it being recorded live.

LIGHT AND DARK

The app follows your system theme, or you can pin it to light or dark.

BEFORE YOU INSTALL

Android only lets an app hold the screen on if you grant Display over other apps. Nothing here works without it, so the app asks once and explains why.

One thing worth knowing up front: while the screen is held awake, your phone does not lock, because locking happens when the screen sleeps. The moment you turn the switch off or press the power button, everything is back to normal.
