NoRing provides local-first Call Protection and SMS Protection to help quiet sales calls, repeat unwanted callers, promotional messages, and spam while keeping important communication within reach.

Call Protection

NoRing uses Android call screening and on-device feedback to help prevent repeat unwanted call patterns from making your phone ring.

Saved contacts remain allowed unless you choose otherwise. Review protected calls, correct mistakes, and manage your Blocked & Allowed numbers whenever you need to.

SMS Protection

NoRing combines a private SMS spam filter with a complete SMS/MMS messaging experience.

Important alerts, personal messages, and active conversations remain in Inbox. Marketing, suspicious, muted, or blocked messages can be placed in Quieted without normal message notifications or unnecessary badge pressure.

An important transaction alert and a promotion from the same business can be treated differently, so useful messages do not have to disappear with the unwanted ones.

Your messages remain usable

NoRing imports and indexes your existing SMS/MMS history locally. You can browse conversations, search messages, compose and reply, manage drafts, and use contextual Sender Rules.

Choose which marketing categories should stay quiet, or decide how NoRing should handle a particular sender. When NoRing is uncertain, communication remains available for you to review.

Private by design

- Call and message protection happens on your phone

- No upload of contacts, call logs, phone numbers, SMS/MMS content, sender IDs, or message metadata for protection
- No call or message data supplied to advertisers
- No call or message content or identifiers in analytics or crash reports

Use either protection pillar, or both

Call Protection and SMS Protection work independently. Use whichever protection you need, or enable both for a quieter experience across calls and messages.

SMS Protection requires NoRing to be your default SMS app. NoRing supports SMS and MMS.

Protection stays free

Call Protection and SMS Protection are available for free. Free users may see restrained ads only on eligible, safe foreground surfaces. Optional NoRing Plus supports continued development and removes ads while active. It does not unlock stronger protection.

Internet access supports services such as optional install verification, purchase verification, Google Play updates, ads and consent, Remote Config, and user-controlled diagnostics. NoRing does not use the internet to upload call or SMS/MMS data for protection, advertising, marketing, or analytics.
