Little Orchid turns Singapore Primary Chinese into calm daily practice. Children build confidence across 听, 说, 读 and 写 with the words they meet at school.

• Tones: hear a word, choose its tone and learn from a clear correction.

5,160 Mandarin recordings and 1,857 stroke guides are packaged inside the app, so normal curriculum study works offline.

BRING THIS WEEK'S 听写 LIST

Create a home spelling list by typing, pasting or speaking the words, or photograph the school worksheet. Add a test date, keep the teacher's order or shuffle it, share the list as text, and archive it after the test without losing its practice history. It joins Today's plan until the words are ready.

Speaking a list is always free. The free plan keeps three active lists and includes two photo-page imports each month. Archived lists do not count towards the limit.

REMEMBER, NOT JUST REPEAT

FSRS spaced repetition brings words back when they need review. The 错题本 records the word, skill and wrong choice so a child can correct the real mistake. A lesson heat map shows memory strength from 0–100, helping families see what needs another look before 听写.

A CALM ROUTINE THAT GROWS

Each primary level has its own progress, daily plan and orchid species. Meeting new characters grows that orchid through 36 stages from seed to full bloom. Fifty achievements reward steady practice and recall.

PRIVATE, PRACTICAL PARENT TOOLS

Parents can view weekly progress, recall, handwriting, difficult words and skill accuracy. Optional reminders stay on the device. Versioned ZIP backups can move one learner or every learner through the device share sheet.

There are no ads, analytics or child accounts. Learner names, answers, progress and settings stay on the device. Connected features are narrowly scoped: a worksheet photo can be sent to read its words; Plus can send a home word list to write example sentences; and a home-list word without a saved recording can be sent to be spoken. A random install tag and network address enforce fair-use limits. Optional speech features use the device recogniser, which may process audio under Apple or Google policies. Little Orchid does not retain the recording.
