Kanta Admin

Kanta Admin is the owner's companion to Kanta Till. It answers the questions you ask when you are not standing at the counter: what has the shop taken today, what is running out, and is anything waiting on me.

WHAT YOU SEE

• Today at a glance — takings, number of sales, how much came in by M-Pesa, and the lines that need reordering, updated as the till rings them up.
• The week so far, as a simple bar for each day.
• Every sale, newest first, with its reference, the time, who served it and how
it was paid.

STOCK YOU CAN ACT ON

• Every line with what is on hand and whether it is running low.
• Receive a delivery, move stock between the shop floor and the store room,
write off damage, or recount a shelf — from the phone, in a few taps.
• Moving stock between your own places nets to zero, so the figure you report never drifts just because goods changed shelves.

WHAT NEEDS ATTENTION

Low and out-of-stock lines, overdue credit customers, and tills that have gone quiet, gathered in one place. Dismiss what you have dealt with; it comes back if it happens again.

BUILT FOR HOW KENYAN SHOPS ACTUALLY TRADE

Money is in shillings throughout. M-Pesa is treated as a first-class way to be
paid, not an afterthought. Sign-in is a PIN, because a shop does not want to type a password on a phone in front of a customer.

WHAT YOU NEED

• A Kanta account for your shop. This app signs in with an admin PIN — cashiers
use Kanta Till, and their PINs are refused here on purpose.
• A working internet connection. Kanta Admin reads live figures and does not
keep an offline copy.

Products and pricing, users and PINs, reports and exports, M-Pesa settings and the audit log live in the Kanta web console. This app is deliberately the
day-to-day view, not a second copy of everything.
