WHAT IT DOES

• Document a shutoff in under a minute. Two photos, where it is, and a note in your own
words. Then it is there at 2am when you need it, in three taps, with no signal.

• Keep the details you always have to look up. Model and serial numbers, manuals,
warranties, paint colours and codes, flooring, filter sizes, who you called last time
and whether they were any good.

• Find manufacturer manuals and transfer instructions by make and model, or attach the
digital files you already trust. HouseManual keeps the source visible so you can confirm
that a document really matches the item in your home.

• Get reminded before things are due, not after. Filters, detectors, the annual service.
Every reminder is editable, and none of it pretends to be professional advice.

• Hand it over properly. When you sell, rent out, or leave someone in charge, HouseManual
produces a real handover: a printable buyer packet, or a file they can import into their
own copy.

PRIVACY IS A FEATURE, NOT A PROMISE

Every record you create is marked Owner Only, Household, or Transferable. Before anything
is handed over, you review exactly what is going — record by record — and nothing marked
Owner Only can be included. Not by accident, not by a setting you missed.

Apple or Google sign-in protects access. HouseManual's account service receives only the
identity and licensing metadata needed for that access—never the contents of your home
manual. Your records remain local and work offline after your secure session is restored.
Optional automatic backup goes only to iCloud or Google Drive when you turn that
destination on. A complete manual backup and restore stay available whenever you need them.

WHAT WE WILL NOT STORE

No passwords. No alarm codes. No lock combinations. No Wi-Fi keys. There is no field for
them anywhere in the app, and there never will be. Where you need to remember that a
secret exists, you record where you keep it — not the secret.

FREE AND PRO

Free covers one home, unlimited critical shutoffs and controls, ten appliances, basic
reminders, and a summary PDF.

Pro adds unlimited appliances and photos, warranties and service history, finishes and
consumables, your contractor directory, the full buyer packet, a privacy-reviewed transfer
file for the recipient, and multiple homes. Choose a one-time lifetime purchase, annual
subscription, or monthly subscription. All three unlock the same Pro features.

If Pro ever lapses, everything you created stays visible, editable, and exportable. We do
not hold your own home records hostage.

SAFETY

HouseManual does not tell you how to do dangerous work. It tells you where things are and
what you wrote down. Anything hazardous points you at the labels, the manual, and a
qualified professional. If there is gas, fire, or immediate danger, the app tells you to
leave and call from a safe place — it does not send you looking for a valve.
