The only issue I have is I can't work out how the scoring is worked out, I am sure I am just missing something but I would like to know. The premium price is a little too high for me but the game can be played for free (ad-supported, but an acceptable amount of ads)

Don't listen to the weirdos that complain about the ads, they only appear after you complete a run and they are very quickly and easily skippable. My only complaint is that the community is so small that there isn't even any strategy tips for you to Google, which makes the higher levels hectic with little clear answer of how to proceed. Those level 8 enemies creep up on you really fast. But on the whole, good game.
