EXIF Remover: CleanCopy

Remove EXIF metadata and hidden location details from JPEG photos before you share them. CleanCopy is an offline photo metadata remover that creates a verified clean copy while keeping your original photo untouched.

A photo can contain more than the image you see. Supported JPEG metadata may include:

• Device brand and camera model
• Date and time information
• Software and editing information
• Author, copyright and identity fields
• Comments, XMP and IPTC metadata

CleanCopy checks the supported metadata available to the app and explains the privacy details it finds before cleaning.

REMOVE EXIF AND GPS METADATA OFFLINE

Choose 1 to 10 JPEG photos with Android Photo Picker. CleanCopy removes supported EXIF, GPS, device, time, software and identity metadata locally on your Android device.

Your photos are not uploaded. CleanCopy does not require an account, internet permission or access to your complete photo library.

CREATE A VERIFIED CLEAN COPY

CleanCopy never overwrites or deletes your original photo. It creates a separate JPEG copy and verifies the result before and after saving.

Only successfully verified clean copies can be shared from the app. If a file is damaged, unsupported or cannot be verified, CleanCopy rejects it instead of showing a false success message.

KEEP PHOTO QUALITY AND CORRECT DISPLAY

CleanCopy removes supported metadata without decoding and recompressing the JPEG image data. It preserves the information required for correct visual orientation and ICC color profile handling.

Some Android devices and sharing services may remove GPS or other metadata before CleanCopy receives a selected photo. CleanCopy reports only the supported details available to the app and does not claim to remove information already removed by the system.

VERSION 1 SUPPORT

CleanCopy currently supports JPEG photos only, with up to 10 photos per batch.

PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, RAW, video and other formats are not supported in version 1. Unsupported files are rejected before saving and are not silently converted or compressed.

CleanCopy reduces exposure from supported photo metadata. It cannot guarantee anonymity or control how another app, website or service handles a shared file.
