ClassicMate — An all-in-one practice and community app for classical musicians
Classic Mate is an all-in-one app for those practicing classical music.
Centered around the sheet music, it brings together all the tools necessary for practice—from accompaniment and analysis to note-taking and recording—into a single platform. It also provides a community where musicians can communicate and connect with one another.
It was created for those who found it cumbersome to have scattered practice tools or struggled to find people to practice with.
[Classic — Practice Tools]
1. Sheet Music Viewer
View PDF scores and provides basic navigation functions such as zooming in/out and page navigation.
2. Sheet Music Note-taking
You can write directly on the sheet music using a pen, highlighter, or eraser. You can leave lesson notes or practice points directly on the score.
3. MIDI Accompaniment Playback
It plays the melody and accompaniment separately and provides playback tools necessary for practice, such as speed adjustment, instrument switching, and cursor synchronization.
4. Recording
You can record along with the accompaniment and play it back immediately to check your performance. Recording files are saved only on the device and are not transmitted to a server.
5. AI Song Analysis
Artificial intelligence (AI) provides song analysis results, including lyric translation, pronunciation, direct reading comprehension, and coaching guides. It helps you practice with an understanding of the song, going beyond simple repetitive practice. AI analysis results are for reference only and accuracy is not guaranteed.
6. Metronome
Provides metronome features for rhythm practice, such as BPM settings, beat subdivision, and tap tempo.
7. Tuner
Check pitch intervals through real-time pitch detection and cent deviation visualization.
8. Music Dictionary
Quickly search and view musical terms, tempo markings, dynamics, musical symbols, and more.
9. Sheet Music Store
You can download classical pieces with expired copyrights and CC0 licensed sheet music using credits. Credits are provided for free only and cannot be purchased with real money or in-app purchases. Five credits are granted upon sign-up, and one additional credit is provided upon your first login each day.
[Mate — Community]
1. Board
Musicians can exchange information through the Free Board, which covers topics such as free discussion, questions, instruments, performance tips, and job postings, as well as the Information Sharing Board, which covers topics such as auditions/competitions, university entrance exams, and performance/vocal tips.
2. Announcement Board
You can view and post classical music-related announcements in one place, including those for lessons, accompanists, venues, team recruitment, auditions, and performances. Inquiries regarding an announcement connect you to a 1:1 chat with the author. The Announcement Board is intended solely for posting information, and the administrator does not get involved in verifying the authenticity of the announcements or in transactions.
3. 1:1 Chat
This is a real-time chat function that allows you to send text, images, files, and post/announcement sharing cards. You can also start a chat through the "Inquire" button on an announcement post.
4. Mate
You can find other members by searching for their nicknames and send Mate requests. If the other person accepts, they will be added to both parties' Mate lists, and you can view each other's public profiles.
5. Profile
You can introduce yourself by registering your self-introduction, cover image, skill tags, career/education/awards, portfolio (YouTube, images), main instrument/major, etc.
6. Report/Block
You can report or block inappropriate content or users. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
