The application will serve a purpose of recording the dietary intake data for the researcher where it will provide output as a spreadsheet including the structured list of consumed foods and beverages, together with the location of consumption/purchase, the amount expended, and the time of consumption. The dietary intake application will run on Android, and iOS and support most mobile Internet browsers.
Participants will be instructed to complete 5 consecutive days of food records, including 3 weekdays and 2 weekend days using the app. While using the application, users will follow a

three-step process: (1) creating an “eating occasion” (Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner; or Snacks
and Drinks) each time they eat or drink something, specifying the date and time of day; (2) selecting/entering the name of foods and/or drinks consumed; and (3) defining the size of the portion consumed by either selecting from the proposed portion sizes and indicating the
number of portions consumed or by entering the quantity (in gm or mL). The location of consumption and expenditure amount will also be recorded. Along with this, the participants will be encouraged to take the picture of each food they consumed and upload it in the application.
