Zenfetch

There are definitely some bugs left for them to workout but the tool has already helped me with summarizing or accessing information without having to go looking through my bookmarks. Zenfetch found the info I needed and synthesized it for me plus it tells you which docs it pulled it from. Being able to curate a quality library of sources for RAG is the key to getting relevant, quality answers from an LLM. The beauty of Zenfetch is that you curate that library proactively without extra effort and then when you need that answer, you get it quickly.

I recently tried out the new AI-powered personal search engine and assistant ZenFetch. The concept of transforming my web content into a searchable database that I can easily converse with is appealing. However, I ran into some issues in my initial trials with the platform. The process of importing links into ZenFetch felt sluggish, taking 1-3 seconds per link. The user interface also felt unintuitive and buggy at times - the settings wheel would just spin when I tried to update preferences, and chatting with my content resulted in similar lag and spinning. I noticed a lot of errors in the console, especially related to OTS parsing failures. Considering there are already other tools out there that offer similar functionality to organize and search my content, the issues I ran into with ZenFetch was a little too much. The subscription pricing also felt steep given that this seems like an app still in its very early stages of development. There is promise in the core concept, but the execution still feels clunky. I'm providing this honest feedback with the hope that the developers can refine ZenFetch into a smoother, more robust platform. But as it currently stands, the bugs, lag, and unintuitive interface hampered my initial experience. I may revisit ZenFetch once some more kinks are worked out.
