Living in Tennessee as a well-finished, smart ex-pat from Cambridgeshire....well...allow me to say that it is much akin to a Jeremy Kyle show that has gone right off the rails into American "Bless your Heart" Walmart status. Since I happen to be of an olive complexion with dark hair and eyes, I would be quite wealthy if I accrued a mere pence for each time I was accused by the uncultured masses in public for "faking that accent"....ah yes... because all Englishmen walk around London or Yorkshire faking American accents so they may sound less adept to intelligence, as we ex-pats residing here are not allowed to be of any complexion that would not glow in a darkened room. So THANK YOU FOR A BIT OF HOME!!! | |
