Lap Counter

Counts the number of laps you have walked/run and shows statistics

I wrote this app because I was walking a track and wanted to walk 3 miles each time. This particular track said it took 14 laps to walk a mile. I just couldn't keep track of how many laps I had completed by counting on my fingers and toes.

With this app, each time you complete a lap, tap "LAP COUNT +1".
It displays how many laps you have completed, how many seconds you are into the current lap, the number of seconds you took for the last lap, total time, and average lap time. If you enter how many laps it takes to complete a mile for your track it will report the total miles and speed in miles per hour.

It includes a RESET button that will clear everything but the Laps Per Mile. That you can change at any time. It will be remembered until you change it. You can even change it in progress. It is only used to display the Total Miles and MPH. based on the Total Laps and Total Time.

There is also a START button. Once tapped it starts the Total Time counter. The name of the button changes to PAUSE. You can use it to pause the Total Time counter if you need to tie a shoe or get a drink, etc. The "PAUSE" will change to "RESUME" for when you are ready to resume.

The app is very forgiving as far as the lap count. If you forget to tap the count, like if your normal lap time is about 65 seconds and you notice your This Lap Time is 85 seconds, just tap the count. This will temporarily cause the This Lap Time, Last Lap Time and Average Lap Time to be incorrect. Then when you finish the current lap, tap the count again. Now everything is correct.

Don't blame me if this turns out to be a "monkey on your back".
(1) Oh, the last lap was 62 seconds this one is already 64....you slacker!
(2) I want to average 4.0 MPH....that means 64 seconds each lap. That means 32 seconds at the half way point....Ahhhh, I just took 34 seconds. Faster, Faster!
