AlbumBeam Firefox

AlbumBeam

Detects the album you're browsing and searches it on your streaming services with one click.

Features & Capabilities

AlbumBeam detects the album you're currently browsing and lets you search it instantly on your preferred streaming services -Spotify, Tidal, and YouTube Music- without having to copy, paste, or type anything. It works across a wide range of music sites including Metal Archives, Rate Your Music, Bandcamp, Discogs, MusicBrainz, AllMusic, Pitchfork, Album of the Year, Metacritic, Sputnikmusic, and Wikipedia. From the toolbar popup or the right-click context menu, a single click takes you straight to the search results on whichever service you use. The settings page lets you choose which services and variants (web player or desktop app) appear as options, and whether searches open in the current tab or a new one. AlbumBeam requires no account, collects no data, and makes no network requests of its own.

Is AlbumBeam Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

AlbumBeam does not require any sensitive permissions.

Risk impact analysis details
Risk likelihood
Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.

AlbumBeam may not be trust-worthy. Avoid installing if possible unless you really trust this publisher.
