CatGaze is the first scientific simulator of cat vision, developed based on the published scientific literature on cat eye structure and visual sensory system. It models various aspects of cat’s vision in comparison with human’s vision. Due to the specific characteristics of the cat’s visual sensory system and the limitations of the phone cameras, an equivalent human vision has also been provided to facilitate app user’s understanding of cat vision.
CatGaze provides real-time, AI-driven analysis of the camera view to simulate the color perception and vision of an adult cat, compared with equivalent human vision. The app’s “night mode” compares cat and human vision in the dark, highlighting the impressive abilities of these lovely felines at night.
