Either I'm missing some critical aspect of installing & setting up, or it just doesn't work at all. Tried this on 2 different Win10 laptops, and on a brand new Chromebox. Does not seem to work at all.

Great!! I was so very struggling as no browser plays bgsound tags and IE is not available for Mac any more. Thanks to this extension. It worked.
