Features & Capabilities

LikedTabs – A Smarter New Tab Page

Put the websites you use every day on a more convenient new tab page.

LikedTabs turns your FireFox new tab page into a personalized website hub. Organize work, study resources, everyday tools, and favorite links by category or use case, so every time you open a new tab, you can get back to what you actually need faster.

Key Features

Local New Tab Page

LikedTabs runs through a built-in extension page and does not rely on embedded remote web pages. When you open a new tab, you can directly access your saved websites, frequently used links, and selected tools.

Organize Frequently Used Websites

Add the websites you visit every day, organize them by category or use case, and customize the layout freely. It is a clearer and more intuitive alternative to repeatedly searching through a crowded bookmarks bar.

Save the Current Page with One Click

When you find a page worth keeping, click the LikedTabs icon in your browser toolbar to save it. The pop-up automatically fills in the current page title and URL, so you only need to select a category and confirm.

Search Saved Websites

Quickly find websites and links you have already added using search, without browsing through them one by one.

Import Browser Bookmarks

Import bookmarks exported from FireFox and turn your existing collection into a website hub designed for everyday use.

Minimal Mode

When you need to focus, switch to a cleaner view centered around search and quick access.

Optional Multi-Device Sync

You can use LikedTabs locally without creating an account. When you need access across multiple devices, you can sign in and sync your data.

Privacy

By default, LikedTabs stores your websites, layouts, and preferences in your browser’s local storage.

The extension does not read your browsing history, inject scripts into the websites you visit, or modify FireFox’s homepage, startup page, or default search engine.

The activeTab permission is used only when you actively click the LikedTabs icon. It allows the extension to read the current page title and URL so you can save the page more easily.
