SimpleGrid

SimpleGrid is the mobile companion to the SimpleGrid ERP web console. It is built for operators at companies already running SimpleGrid: shop-floor supervisors, stores and purchase staff, finance and operations managers who need to check status, move work forward and file records away from a desk.

You sign in with the SimpleGrid account your company issued you. The app is scoped to your workspace and shows only what your role permits.

SEE WHAT NEEDS YOU
Home opens on a Needs Attention queue: the records waiting on you, as cards with status badges and a count. Tap one to open it, or see an "All clear" when nothing is pending.

MOVE WORK FORWARD
Open a record and fire an action from the bottom bar: approve, dispatch, receive, reject. Only the actions valid for that record's current state are offered. Steps that need extra detail open a short form. Actions that require a file or a linked record are handled on the web console.

FIND ANYTHING
The Operations tab shows your full record catalogue as tiles grouped by business role, with drill-down into sub-groups, plus a search that jumps straight to a record type. Lists are searchable, filterable by status and infinitely scrollable. Record detail gives you every field, the change history and the line items on one screen.

FILE NEW WORK FROM THE FIELD
Raise a new order, entry or request on a form built from your own company's setup: text, numbers, toggles, dates, dropdowns, linked-record pickers and line-item tables. Attach evidence with the camera or from your photo library; images are downscaled and re-encoded before upload so they send on a weak connection.

SMART FILL
Photograph a document or pick a PDF and let the assistant read it and prefill the form, instead of typing every field by hand.

ASK HANK
Hank is the in-app assistant. Ask in plain language what is on your plate, what changed recently or what is pending approval. Replies stream in, and you can see the lookups Hank runs.

CHECK THE NUMBERS
- Insights: KPI tiles and charts configured for your business, with a time range per card and long-press to read exact values.
- Inventory: stock on hand, where it is, what it is worth, and the full movement history.
- Financial Ledger: receivables, payables and revenue entries, filterable to money or operations, with amounts coloured by direction.
- Costing: financial metrics, price history and the cost-rate book.
- Activity: a workspace-wide feed of what fired, which status changed, and who did it.
- Boards: your team's configured views as searchable tables or kanban lanes, with per-row actions. A small number of bespoke boards still open on the web console.

SIGN IN AND SETTINGS
Sign in with a password or a one-time code sent to your email or phone, and reset a forgotten password in the app. Settings holds your profile, Light / Dark / System appearance, your app version, a support email link and sign out. Admins can also view the workspace user directory.

SECURITY AND PRIVACY
Session tokens are held in the Android Keystore, not in plain storage, and are kept off device backups and cleared when you sign out. There are no advertising identifiers, no analytics, attribution or ad SDKs, and nothing in the app profiles you or tracks you across other apps. Location, contacts, microphone and calendar are never accessed. Camera and photo-library access are used only to attach images to records, and location metadata is dropped when the image is re-encoded before upload.

GOOD TO KNOW
- A SimpleGrid account provisioned by your company is required. There is no sign-up in the app.
- The app is online only. If you lose signal it says so plainly and keeps you signed in rather than dropping you at the login screen.
- Built for phones, in portrait.
- Platform administrator accounts are pointed to the web console.
