GPS Coordinates for Google Maps is a Chrome extension that adds a button to Google Maps to quickly obtain the GPS coordinates (latitude & longitude) of any selected place. It offers coordinates in decimal degrees (DD) format and degrees/minutes/seconds (DMS) format. The extension also works in conjunction with other Google Chrome extensions and map apps for enhanced functionality. In general it´s a great idea and th button is easy to handle BUT it is not accurate. The GPS position of POI is not compatible with Google Maps: when I search for the given coordinates in GM again, I´m leaded to a place some 100 meters west of the POI.

Marie Heddrich, 2021-10-07This was a useful extension, but the 3.4 version has some dodgy code in it that rewrites links to point towards amazon and ebay affiliate links. You can check out the code yourself in the 3.4_0/z.js file inside the extension folder.

excellent tool.
Latelly i have a problem...when a select a point in google maps and i use your app the coordinates are not exactly the same...they should be exact. ( the one that google maps shows and the one in gps coordinates (app)...can you fix that or tell me how to do it? thanks
