NEWS THAT FITS YOUR ROUTINE

Add the Latest Articles widget to your home screen for a quick view of stories from your most recently selected source mix. Pull to refresh when you want the latest available feed data. When a network request fails, the app can fall back to previously cached feeds, articles, and bookmarks so you can recover your reading context.

OPTIONAL, LOW-NOISE NOTIFICATIONS

Every news notification type is off until you choose it. You can separately enable saved-story reminders, fresh topic updates, quiet-day recommendations, a weekly source catch-up, or occasional source-diversity suggestions. Africa Unfiltered applies a shared frequency limit across content notifications and lets you change each choice in Settings.

SOURCE CONTROL, NOT A MYSTERY FEED

Africa Unfiltered is built around explicit source choices. A recommendation may help you return to a saved story or discover another relevant publisher, but it does not silently add a source to your account. Article links continue to the original publisher, and publisher content remains the publisher's own.

PRIVACY AND ACCOUNT CONTROL

Browse public preview news without creating an account. Sign in only when you want synced sources, bookmarks, and preferences. The Android app does not sell ads. Authentication uses encrypted transport, and bearer tokens are encrypted in app-private storage. You can open the privacy policy and request account deletion from Settings.

Encrypted DNS is optional and off by default. If you enable it, app-owned DNS lookups use DNS over HTTPS; it does not control publisher pages or sign-in pages opened in a browser.
