Extension summary

This extension serves as a companion to the "Link Your File" application and will improve your experience by directly opening the link you clicked without showing our link page.

"Link Your File" is the easiest way to link your files to your web applications. No more attachments, no more downloads, no more unzipping.

Create a web URL for any file and folder. Paste it into Notion, Google Docs, Jira, Monday, etc. Open that file with a single click from your web browser. This saves you a lot of clicking and a lot of time.

It works great in a team. If your files are in a shared location like Dropbox, Google Drive or a local network storage anyone can open files from the browser by clicking the links.

Say goodbye to scattered download folders, incorrect file versions, and duplicated work.

User reviews

Very interesting but seems that not there yet. the whole link creation requires too many steps: 'create link on finder through the service menu, access the app, click link reveal, copy link in memory, paste into the service you want' That is a workflow killer if you are trying to roll a few links at a time. Plus the links appear based on their path and not on their name (try to create links form shortcuts/alias and you'll see the confusion it creates). For this app to fulfil its expectations, the minimum workflow should be to drag a shortcut/folder/file into the app and automatically get a link on memory ready to paste whenever we need it. And the app area to transform paths into links, should be either the app icon on the dock bar or a movable floating area. Then it will be a must rather than a curiosity.

Links work well on all kind of files and also folders. Function that was desperately needed on Notion.

My team has been trying to find a solution like this for years. Being able to link our NAS files in slack and our project management software is amazing.
