Actual → ProjectionLab Sync Firefox

Actual → ProjectionLab Sync

Sync your self-hosted Actual Budget balances and net-worth history into ProjectionLab.

Features & Capabilities

What it does:

  • Sync Now: pushes your current Actual account balances into ProjectionLab's Current Finances.
  • Backfill: seeds ProjectionLab's net-worth history from your full Actual transaction history.
  • Map each Actual account to a ProjectionLab account once; the extension reuses the mapping.

How it works:

  • Actual has no browser-callable API, so you point the extension at your own self-hosted actual-http-api bridge (see the project README to deploy it).
  • Balances are written into ProjectionLab through its official Plugin API, in your open ProjectionLab tab. Nothing is sent to the developer or any third party.

Requirements:

  • A self-hosted Actual Budget server + the actual-http-api bridge.
  • A ProjectionLab account with the Plugin API enabled (Settings → Plugins).

Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.
