Accessibility View Firefox

Accessibility View

Accessible View converts an arbitrary website into its accessibility relevant form.

Features & Capabilities

Accessibility View is a Chrome extension that lets you explore any website from a screen reader's perspective without actually running one. It transforms webpages into an accessibility-focused representation, highlighting HTML5 structural elements (nav, header, main, footer, aside, articles), forms, links, lists, and ARIA roles. It hides elements like aria-hidden and those styled with display: none. This tool helps developers and accessibility testers quickly evaluate a site's accessible structure. Upcoming features include displaying aria-labels and hints for missing image alt or title attributes. It's an essential tool for ensuring accessible web experiences.

Is Accessibility View Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Accessibility View requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
