If you use the car for both business and personal purposes, you may deduct only the cost of its business use. Use the Standard Mileage App to track you personal, business, medical, charitable and Moving (Military only) trip miles. Easily mark the purpose for each trip, as well as add notes to explain useful details of a trip such as destination, individuals at the meeting, express business purpose, etc....

Use either Kilometers or Miles for tracking and reporting purposes depending on applicable jurisdiction.

Automatic trip recording. In general, recording of trips will commence upon the detection of automobile movement. Trips will automatically stop when no automobile motion is detected for a predefined time period (that can be adjusted by users in the App Settings; default time is two (2) minutes).

In the U.S., you can generally figure the amount of your deductible car expense by using one of two methods: the standard mileage rate method or the actual expense method. If you qualify to use both methods, you may want to figure your deduction both ways before choosing a method to see which one gives you a larger deduction. Please note, however, that a taxpayer may not use the business standard mileage rate to compute the deductible expenses of an automobile for which the taxpayer has previously claimed any form of accelerated or bonus depreciation. For jurisdictions outside the U.S., please consult applicable guidance in your jurisdiction.

U.S. federal tax law requires that you substantiate your automobile expenses by adequate records or by sufficient evidence to support your own statement. Car expenses are subject to a higher level of substantiation than other business expenses. Use the Standard Mileage App to try to provide the crucial substantiation. If you fail to adequately substantiate the business use of an automobile, it may be presumed that all use is non-deductible personal use. Other jurisdictions have similar rules.

• Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
• Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal.
• Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to the App, where applicable.
