Welcome to Equation Master — a brain-training math puzzle game where you solve equations by choosing the right numbers from a grid and matching the variables in each equation.

Play through a structured level system (up to 250 levels) with increasing complexity, more operators, more variables, and deeper logic challenges designed for both casual players and serious puzzle lovers.

Two game modes
Equation Master (Standard mode): You are shown an equation (with variables like a, b, c…). Tap numbers on the board to assign values to the variables and validate the equation—clear tiles, solve all equations, and finish the level.

Zero Defence (Survival / steps mode): Start from a target value and reduce it to 0 using a limited number of steps; pick an operator, then a digit, and every move changes the value while consuming steps—strategy matters.

How to play (Equation Master mode)

Read the current equation on screen (variables + operators).

Tap number tiles to select values; the game tries assignments (permutations) to match variables and checks if the equation is valid.

Correct solutions clear tiles and advance to the next equation; when tiles run low, the game can generate new equations from remaining numbers so the board stays solvable.

Finish the board to complete the level and earn your score/time performance record.

How to play (Zero Defence mode)
You begin with a generated starting value and a set of allowed digits (a pool drawn from 1–9).

Choose an operator (+, −, ×, ÷) and then choose a digit to apply it to the current value.

Division requires an exact result (no fractions) and division by zero is blocked, so planning ahead is essential.

Digits can go on cooldown for a few turns (varies by level band), preventing repeats and forcing smarter sequences.

Win by reaching 0 before you run out of steps.

Power-ups & smart helpers

Hints help when you’re stuck (remaining hint count is tracked in-game).

Shuffle support is available in the main mode (tracked alongside hints in the UI).

Add Steps (Zero Defence): If you’re about to run out, you can refill steps (a limited number of refills per run).

Difficulty, customization, and progression

Choose board size (4×4, 5×5, 6×6) with performance-optimized generation for larger boards.

Select difficulty (Easy/Medium/Hard/Extra Hard) which scales the underlying difficulty factor.

Levels are organized into bands (Starter → Challenger) with templates that progressively introduce +, −, ×, ÷ and more variables.

Personalize the look with background color, board color, and font color settings.
