Smart Zoom is a Chrome extension designed to enhance readability on text-heavy websites such as news portals and blogs. It allows users to zoom in on a column of text simply by right-clicking and selecting "Zoom" or by holding Shift and clicking the desired text column. Once zoomed, you can adjust the font size incrementally by pressing the +, -, or 0 keys. Pressing Esc will revert the zoom to normal.

This extension mimics the convenient double tap zooming behavior found in mobile Safari but adapts it for desktop browsing. While it is optimized for textual content, it may not work correctly on all web content and is disabled on certain sites like Gmail and Hotmail to avoid conflicts. Users can also disable the keyboard shortcuts on individual pages by pressing the backquote (`) key. Originally developed by another author, this extension has been updated to work seamlessly with the latest versions of Chrome, preserving and enhancing its core functionality.

It would be even better if users could be allowed to define their own zoom boxes. This does not rely on automatic recognition of the enlarged area of the webpage, and allows the user to select the enlarged area. 如果能够允许用户自己划定放大框就更好了。这样不依赖于自动识别网页的放大区域，由用户选定放大区域。

It is great but it has some undesirable behavior and it has no way to fix, it sets all the font size in youtube to a smaller font.
